Top 5 Fun Simple Party Games
Below I list 5 party games I think are not only a fantastic time, but all demonstrate different gameplay styles. I chose these because of their simplicity overall. So each game can be opened and taught in 5 minutes or less, and guess what? Even less time if someone already knows the game! Let me one up that one more time.. IN A MATTER OF SECONDS IF EVERYONE KNOWS IT–so get these, learn them, and have a good time. I will quickly describe each game as well as provide you with the boardgamegeek, amazon link, and a link to my video if I have covered the game for review and instruction. Let’s get to the basics of fun simple party games.
Danger The Game
I’ll keep this super brief, one of you are in a dangerous situation (via the danger card). Further, describe the situation listed on the card to the group. Each player int he group will come equipped with tools and skills that they can choose one of, from both card type, to rescue you with. They will describe their skills and tools and direct toward how they can use them to save you. Careful, some players have plot twists! Those can completely alter your story–so think fast.
Ever find yourself in miserable situations? Each player will draw a miserable situation and read it out loud, in turn, players will guess where on their scale of misery the card may land. Each card has a miserable situation, a misery scale index, and a nice miserable silhouette of the scenario. Can you guess the correct spot in your slot of cards that best identifies how miserable the situation is compared to everything else you own?
Cover your A$$ets
Collect pairs of cards varying in cars, homes, and even baseball cards to build up your assets. Careful, because some of these values can look pretty tasty to other opponents who might want to steal them from you. Collect assets, defend from theives, and be the first to 1 million dollars! (pinky to mouth).
A party isn’t that great if you don’t know the people around you. What better way to learn the group then by connecting your minds! In The Mind everyone is given cards increasing by 1 every turn. Players, without talking, will place down cards from their hands collectively from lowest value to highest. The trick is connecting minds before each round to make sure everyone is playing their lowest card and not skipping anyone’s turn. Think you can work together to make it to the 10th level of a whopping 10 card hand?
Joking Hazard brings it back to classic-modern-Cards Against Humanity style-look-and-choose gaming..?..! The leading player will play a card, or comic strip, for everyone else to expand on. Each player is to finish the 2 card comic strip started by the leading player. When everyone has played a card they think is a total knee-slapper, the leading player will gather the cards, shuffle them and deal them out in order. The leader player will then choose which card he thinks is the best suited for the comic strip–quite simple.
