Arnie: Collision Control is a mobile game that features cute characters along with minimal controls. In this game, you are playing as an astronaut, Arnie. You tap the screen to float up and swipe right to zoom through the moon blocks. The object of the game is to get as far as you can without hitting any of the moon blocks and to maintain your fuel.
You can get fuel packs that are floating around in space with you by flying into it which will increase the amount of fuel you have. You can also pick up stars which allow you to purchase other characters and jet boosts. The game also provides missions in the form of patches. This adds an extra goal besides getting the farthest.
While I love the design of the game and the artwork, I find the game play to be a bit lacking. It reminds me a lot of Flappy Bird with its making it through a hole in the barrier and having to tap to go up more. This game is also oddly difficult because you have to time it up perfectly to get into the hole of the moon blocks. Being that you are too far from the blocks to just go straight through it, it makes it harder to determine when to swipe right.
I also did not like the fact that if you hit the top of the screen you die. I found this really annoying when I HAD to go through a hole at the top of the screen but would die when I got there.
This is a good game if you are looking for a quick fix. It can get really frustrating when playing because you think that you made it through the hole…but you didn’t.
