Best Fantasy Board Games

I love dungeoneering, archer elves, castles, treasure, theives, and all that fun stuff. I spent a lot of my earlier days playing games like Zelda, Evergrace, and Dark Cloud because of the upgrade systems, Rpg elements, and the completely epic action packed storylines. Of course these are all classics now and some of them may not have met the eyes of the masses (Evergrace, Dark Cloud). But nontheless, they have introduced the concept of new equipment, levelling up, and epic monster battles. Today we have games such as Dark Soul, Dragon Age, and The Witcher to complete the need for RPG’s. They are as impressive as ever and create character immersion like nothing I’ve experience before. For the record, I’ll be an elf archer any chance I get. So, ever wonder what we could play outside of video games? Maybe what are the Best Fantasy Board Games? Maybe board games or card games that can satisfy the want fo RPG elements and fantasy action?

Dungeon Fighter

Dungeon Fighter has got to be one of the most innovative Rpg crawlers I’ve encountered recently. Battle by rolling dice! May seem similar to most games however, this game doesn’t reward the number on the die (which it has none) but rewards HOW you throw your die and where your die lands. It’s a very interactive experience. You and your companions (everyone else playing) traverse through a dungeon battling monsters and purchasing equipment (which upgrades your die roll or adds more dice to play with) to prepare themselves for last boss! A very unique and definitely the Best Fantasy Board Games.

Trove: The Crystal Caverns

Trove: The Crystal Caverns is a 4 player a symmetrical board game that has each player fight toward completing their own goals. The Knight wants to defeat the Dragon. The Goblin wants to stop the Knight, The Dragon wants to escape The Cave, and The Cave wants to collapse over everyone else. This is a recently successful kickstarter that picked up much hype for presenting a very impressive and very balanced four character roles’ game. Upgrade your character, battle your enemies, and complete your goal. Definitely an interesting piece for the Best Fantasy Board Games.
